Softball Recap: Belleview Takes a Loss

Belleview fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Mount Dora on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 4-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rattlers of the 10-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Belleview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harper Foote, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

This is the second loss in a row for Belleview and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Mount Dora, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

Belleview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Crystal River on the 28th. As for Mount Dora, they have also already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against Vanguard on the 26th.
