Clay-Battelle won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Cee-Bees sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 victory over the Lumberjacks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cee-Bees.

Olivia Summers was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shyann Tennant, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Clay-Battelle's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Valley, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Coming up, Clay-Battelle will face off against Trinity Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley, they will take on Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
