Johnston dropped their record down to 12-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the St. Raphael Academy Saints by a score of 2-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

As for St. Raphael Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games.

For St. Raphael Academy's part, not much got past Isabella Sousa, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Johnston off the board. Sousa has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, St. Raphael Academy's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaliyah De Los Santos, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Johnston nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
