It's playoff time, and Appomattox County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the King William Cavaliers 3-1. The Raiders are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Isaac Records spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Appomattox County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Carwile, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Appomattox County's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for King William, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.
