Baseball Recap: Urbandale Comes Up Short

Urbandale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Waukee Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-8 on Thursday.

Urbandale now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Waukee, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Urbandale will take on Johnston at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the J-Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Waukee, they will face off against Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
