Volleyball Recap: Boulder Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Boulder lost against Fairview back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Boulder sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 18-25, 25-21, 22-25, 18-16.

Lucianna Welles paced Boulder's offense, picking up 20 kills. Welles got some help from Mackenzie Horning and her 29 assists. Maja Giecold controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Fairview was led to victory by Peyton Weiss and Evelyn Thompson. Weiss had 22 digs, while Thompson had eight digs, two blocks, and two aces. That's the most digs Weiss has posted over her last six games.

Boulder now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Fairview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Boulder didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Arvada West on the 9th. As for Fairview, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Niwot on the 9th.
