Basketball Recap: Parrish Community Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Parrish Community had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Palmetto Tigers 59-57. Winning may never get old, but the Bulls sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Parrish Community found their leader in freshman Romana Lind, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lind has scored all season. Jayna Bowen was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Parrish Community's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-14. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Palmetto, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Parrish Community will face off against Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Charlotte knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Parrish Community likes a good challenge. Palmetto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
