Mallard Creek put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Ardrey Kell Knights by a score of 69-60. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mavericks also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2018.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mallard Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kiara Anderson, who went 6-for-10 on her way to 15 points and eight rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Anderson now owns an excellent 46.2% field goal percentage. Jazmeen Stone was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Mallard Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Ardrey Kell lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Autumn Washington, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Imani Shelton, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Mallard Creek's record is now 5-0. As for Ardrey Kell, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Mallard Creek will face off against McDowell at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ardrey Kell, they will challenge Myers Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
