Volleyball Game Preview: Da Vinci Dragons vs. Loretto Angels

The Da Vinci Dragons will head out on the road to square off against the Loretto Angels at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Da Vinci is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering El Paso HomeSchool just ended the team's ten-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

While Da Vinci ultimately came up short, they really made El Paso HomeSchool work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-20, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Loretto also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Immanuel Christian by a score of 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Angels in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

While Loretto had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 25-18, 25-19.

Loretto's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Da Vinci, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-3-1.

Da Vinci took their win against Loretto in their previous matchup back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Angels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
