The Parkway South Patriots will take on the Parkway Central Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Parkway South has four straight wins, Parkway Central has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Parkway South's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Hazelwood West 14-0. The Patriots not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st (when they won 15-1).

Jordan Schneider made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Schneider wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Hurst, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Jake Thompson was another, earning two runs and one stolen base.
Parkway South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hazelwood West only posted an OBP of .261.
Parkway Central couldn't beat Kirkwood on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Colts lost 19-4 to the Pioneers.
Parkway South's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Parkway Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Parkway Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Parkway South hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328. It's a different story for Parkway Central, though, as they've only averaged .222. Will they be able to contain Parkway South's hitters?
Parkway South took their win against Parkway Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
