Chesterton and Valparaiso are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Chesterton Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Valparaiso Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chesterton will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Chesterton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hammond Central, but they still walked away with a 64-58 victory.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 26-26 at halftime, Valparaiso was not quite Crown Point's equal in the second half on Friday. They lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a 63-47 margin. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Valparaiso's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Chesterton, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Chesterton came up short against Valparaiso in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 63-57. Can Chesterton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
