Basketball Recap: Beloit Starts Season with Victory Against Concordia

Beloit had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the Concordia Panthers 60-46 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Cassandra Thompson was a one-woman wrecking crew for Beloit as she went 10 for 17 on her way to 29 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Addison Budke, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Beloit has already played their next matchup, a 50-32 loss against Clay Center on the 10th. As for Concordia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-17 defeat against Riley County on the 10th.
