The Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets will challenge the Rome Free Academy Black Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fayetteville-Manlius is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Fayetteville-Manlius after they put the first runs on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of East Syracuse-Minoa by a score of 8-7. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fayetteville-Manlius saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Arthur, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Rome Free Academy took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Fayetteville-Manlius 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Black Knights have posted since April 22, 2024.

Rome Free Academy also got a great performance from Emelia Szymanski as she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

Fayetteville-Manlius' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Rome Free Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
