Quincy picks up 12th straight win at home

Recap: Quincy Blue Devils vs. Galesburg Silver Streaks

The Quincy Blue Devils entered their tilt with the Galesburg Silver Streaks with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Quincy strolled past Galesburg with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 62-43. This was payback for Quincy, who suffered a 55-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Quincy found their leader in underclassman Jada Brown, who scored 28 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Brown's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Myley Longcor, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Quincy's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. As for Galesburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-4.

Quincy will head out on the road to take on Sterling at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sterling is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Galesburg, they will be playing at home against East Moline United at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (East Moline United is ranked 46th, while Galesburg is ranked 28th).
