Basketball Game Preview: Ithaca Yellowjackets vs. Fulton Pirates

The Ithaca Yellowjackets and the Fulton Pirates will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Ithaca is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Millington just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The contest marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Fulton unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vestaburg.

Fulton's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Ithaca, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Ithaca against Fulton when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 60-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ithaca since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
