Softball Recap: Washington Township Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Newton on Monday, Washington Township came back down to earth. The Senators came up short against the Westville Blackhawks on Tuesday, falling 12-4. The loss continues a trend for the Senators in their meetings with the Blackhawks: they've now lost five in a row.

Washington Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Janet Meade, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Washington Township's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Westville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Washington Township has already played their next contest, a 5-4 loss against South Central on the 16th. As for Westville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Hebron on the 14th.
