Baseball Recap: Loveland Beats Teays Valley for Their 11th Straight Win

Loveland waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. Everything went their way against the Teays Valley Vikings as they made off with a 13-2 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Loveland got a great performance from Henry Bradley as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Bradley has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, Loveland let Blake Hatfield and Dylan Hacker run wild. Hatfield got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Hacker went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave Hatfield a new career-high. Another player making a difference was CJ Margraf, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Loveland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Loveland's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Teays Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-8.

Loveland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
