Basketball Recap: IMG Academy Blue Takes a Loss

IMG Academy Blue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of DME Academy Regional. While losing is never fun, the Ascenders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while DME Academy Regional are ranked 86th).

DME Academy Regional's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zora Daramola, who posted ten points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Bianca Niegreios, who had eight points.

IMG Academy Blue's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for DME Academy Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

As of now, neither IMG Academy Blue nor DME Academy Regional have any future games scheduled.
