Basketball Recap: Lufkin Takes a Loss

Lufkin was the 49-29 winner over A&M Consolidated when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Lufkin Panthers fell to the A&M Consolidated Tigers 35-31.

Lufkin's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for A&M Consolidated, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lufkin Panthers challenge the Mt. Pleasant Tigers at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for A&M Consolidated, they will head out on the road to challenge Brenham at 6:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
