Basketball Recap: Mckeel Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

McKeel Academy came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 57-42 victory over the Fort Meade Miners on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-42 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Fort Meade still got an impressive performance from Mekhi Berrien, who posted 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Cayden Clark, who put up nine points and seven assists.

McKeel Academy's record is now 7-9. As for Fort Meade, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

The future could be bright for both McKeel Academy and Fort Meade: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. McKeel Academy will try to hand Mulberry their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
