Baseball Game Preview: Palm Beach Gardens Gators vs. Forest Hill Falcons

The Palm Beach Gardens Gators will face off against the Forest Hill Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Palm Beach Gardens is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

On Friday, it was close, but Palm Beach Gardens sidestepped Coral Springs for a 2-1 victory.

Chase Turner was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Ryder, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Forest Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Suncoast. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by just one run.

Julian DeJesus was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Aaron Moreno, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Palm Beach Gardens is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Forest Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Palm Beach Gardens came out on top in a nail-biter against Forest Hill in their previous meeting last Thursday, sneaking past 10-9. Do the Gators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
