Basketball Recap: Lavaca Comes Up Short

Lavaca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Prairie Grove Tigers. The Golden Arrows lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 55-24 score last time.

Lavaca's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Prairie Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.

Lavaca didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-43 win against Westside on the 30th. Prairie Grove has also already played their next contest, a 57-27 defeat against Paris on the 30th.
