Softball Recap: Jordan Takes a Loss

Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Park City Miners. The Beetdiggers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Miners apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Kate Judd stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Judd, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Park City, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Jordan will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Cottonwood at 3:30 p.m. As for Park City, they will venture away from home to square off against Skyline at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Skyline has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.5 runs per game on average), something Park City will no doubt try to take advantage of.
