Softball Recap: Dayton Dust Devils vs. Fernley Vaqueros
Dayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fernley Vaqueros. If the Dust Devils were looking for revenge after losing 4-0 to the Vaqueros when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

LaSade Conti spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Dayton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Hannum, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
