Basketball Game Preview: Fairley Bulldogs vs. Freedom Prep Academy Eagles

The Fairley Bulldogs will face off against the Freedom Prep Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairley will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Fairley against Mitchell as the team secured a 97-53 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Fairley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Chatman, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. Those 27 points gave Chatman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alarin Polk, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 18 boards, and ten assists.

Fairley was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Freedom Prep Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 61-40 to Wooddale. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Freedom Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Fairley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
