Basketball Recap: York Takes a Loss

York came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by the Smithfield Packers 60-30. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

York has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Smithfield, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. York is facing Jamestown at the right time seeing as Jamestown is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Smithfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
