Basketball Recap: Curtis Vikings vs. Rogers Rams

Curtis easily dispatched Spanaway Lake last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Curtis Vikings fell just short of the Rogers Rams by a score of 64-61 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent defeat being a 70-64 loss two weeks ago.

Rogers' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamaire Grant, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Grant's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Treyshawn Weatherspoon, who posted 15 points and five boards.

Curtis' defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Rogers, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

As of now, neither Curtis nor Rogers have any future games scheduled.
