Football Recap: Lake Braddock Bruins vs. West Springfield Spartans
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lake Braddock couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 28-14 bruising from the West Springfield Spartans on Saturday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lake Braddock lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tyrone Jackson, who rushed for 122 yards and one TD, and also threw for 150 yards on 12 of 20 attempts. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards. 95 of Jackson's passing yards were hauled in by Zachary Hibner.
Dillan Wickham produced another solid effort rushing for 240 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry for West Springfield. Wickham's longest rush was for an incredible 83 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Scott Lewis, who rushed for 74 yards and two scores.
Lake Braddock's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for West Springfield, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
Lake Braddock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Springfield, they will head out on the road to take on North Stafford at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
