Baseball Game Preview: East Webster Wolverines vs. Choctaw County Chargers

For the second straight game, East Webster will face off against Choctaw County. East Webster will host Choctaw County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

East Webster is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Choctaw County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 3-2.

Ethan Hillhouse made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Elliot Grimes was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Choctaw County and bumps their season record up to 13-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for East Webster, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-4.
