Bethel had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Akiak Thunderbolts by a score of 34-21. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 45-43 victory the Thunderbolts walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2019.

Bethel's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Akiak, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Bethel is taking a road trip to challenge Nome-Beltz at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Nome-Beltz has won four straight at home, while Bethel won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Akiak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
