Softball Recap: Incline Drops Season-High Score on West Wendover

Incline had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-11 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the West Wendover Wolverines with a sharp 29-21 victory. The Highlanders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for West Wendover, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games.

For West Wendover's part, Piper Goode made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 5-for-6 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those RBI were Goode's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brisieda Haro, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Incline will have a chance to go back-to-back against West Wendover: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
