Basketball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Comes Up Short

If Saxony Lutheran was feeling good fresh off their 58-31 takedown of Meadow Heights last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders took a blow against the St. Vincent Indians on Monday, falling 58-28. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Indians are ranked 28th).

Saxony Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for St. Vincent, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Saxony Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-33 defeat against Central on the 17th. As for St. Vincent, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Farmington at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
