Softball Recap: Riverview Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Riverview put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Tecumseh Indians.

The team relied heavily on Keira Logan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Ella Vinco also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Logan wasn't the only one making solid contact: Riverview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tecumseh only managed seven hits.

Riverview's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Tecumseh, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverview will venture away from home to take on Monroe at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tecumseh, they will head out to face off against Chelsea at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Indians' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
