Football Recap: Moorcroft Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Moorcroft lost against Newcastle back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolves were beaten by the Dogies 46-6. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-0.

Newcastle's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Teddy Troftgruben, who rushed for 69 yards on only seven carries, and also threw for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes. Collin McConkey was in the mix as well, providing the Dogies with two scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Moorcroft and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Newcastle, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moorcroft will square off against Wheatland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Newcastle, they will take on Burns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncs' defense has only allowed 12.1 points per game this season, so the Dogies' offense will have their work cut out for them.
