Softball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to the Vincennes Lincoln Alices. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hatchets of the 11-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Washington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braleigh Armes, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Washington's record is now 2-21. As for Vincennes Lincoln, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will head out to face off against Sullivan at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they will venture away from home to challenge Evansville Reitz at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Panthers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
