Basketball Game Preview: Parowan Rams vs. South Summit Wildcats

The Parowan Rams will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the South Summit Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Parowan came up short against Carbon and fell 64-52. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, South Summit unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak last Saturday. They fell 64-57 to Sabino.

Parowan will have to contain Logan Woolstenhulme as he made an impact in South Summit's last game. He dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards. That was a full 43.9% of South Summit's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Blake Osguthorpe was another key player, putting up ten points.

Even though they lost, South Summit was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 20 assists in five consecutive contests.

Parowan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for South Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Parowan might still be hurting after the 69-47 defeat they got from South Summit in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Parowan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
