John Battle dropped their record down to 9-8 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Abingdon Falcons, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-2 loss back in April.

As for Abingdon, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-2. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Abingdon's part, Muriel Dillow was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brenna Green, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Coming up, John Battle will welcome Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Abingdon, they will head out to challenge Eastside at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
