Basketball Game Preview: Millbrook Wildcats vs. Heritage Huskies

Millbrook has gone 9-1 against Heritage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Millbrook Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Heritage Huskies at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Millbrook challenged Wake Forest on Tuesday. Millbrook strolled past Wake Forest with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Millbrook can attribute much of their success to Lauren Brown, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, and Lucy Ellis, who posted 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Brown a new career-high in blocks (six). Another player making a difference was Korryn Dixon, who earned seven points and three steals.

Millbrook was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wake Forest only posted six assists.

Meanwhile, Heritage can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They took down Wake Forest 36-22.

Heritage's record now sits at 8-10. As for Millbrook, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 10-8.

Millbrook came up short against Heritage when the teams last played on January 9th, falling 50-46. Can Millbrook avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
