Erwin extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Carson Wallace. The Erwin Warriors simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Asheville Cougars 84-53 thanks in part to Wallace, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. He is becoming a predictor of Erwin's success: when he posts at least ten rebounds the team is 6-3 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Petty, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points along with five rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Asheville still got an impressive performance from Aidan Shaw, who went 6 of 10 en route to 20 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Shaw a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendrick Carter, who posted four points and nine rebounds.

Erwin is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Asheville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Erwin will face off against A.C. Reynolds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Asheville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-58 loss against Crest on the 4th.
