Recap: Columbia Raiders vs. Carey Blue Devils
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Columbia Raiders, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of Carey on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, Columbia couldn't push the score so high this time.
Ethan Meier threw for 34 yards on three of ten attempts. Marco Cirigliano was his top target, gaining 65 total yards.
Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Carey, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carey will head out on the road to face off against Columbus Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbus Grove is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
