Basketball Recap: Poolesville Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Poolesville can now relate to. They fell 42-34 to the Southern Bulldogs on Monday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Huntyr Marks, who posted 14 points. Scarlett Wooster was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Poolesville now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Southern, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-14.

Poolesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 34-27 defeat against Wilde Lake on the 5th.
