Basketball Recap: Central Christian Comes Up Short

Central Christian lost against Snook Christian Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Central Christian Saints took a 52-33 bruising from the Snook Christian Academy Eagles. The matchup marked the Saints' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Micah Brunson was a one-man wrecking crew for Snook Christian Academy as he dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Brunson also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Josh Gabel, who went 6 of 15 en route to 14 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Central Christian and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Snook Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Escambia Academy the next time they take the court. Central Christian will host Escambia Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Snook Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
