Benilde-St. Margaret was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 12-8 to the Chanhassen Storm. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Red Knights' highest-scoring game to date.

Brooklyn Riley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Cece Hanson was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Benilde-St. Margaret's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Benilde-St. Margaret's will challenge Waconia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Knights are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Chanhassen, they will venture away from home to face off against Chaska at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Storm's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
