Softball Recap: West York Area Comes Up Short

West York Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Susquehannock Warriors. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Kayleigh Becker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Shelby Stough also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

West York Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Susquehannock, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.

When West York Area and Susquehannock next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. West York Area will try to stop Eastern Lebanon County's five-game winning streak when they meet at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Susquehannock will face off against Eastern York and their three-game winning streak at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
