Basketball Game Preview: Wright Panthers vs. Big Horn Rams

The Wright Panthers will face off against the Big Horn Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Wright was beaten by Tongue River 63-21. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dani Barnhurst, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Umiker, who earned five points along with 11 boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Big Horn hadn't done well against Sundance recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Big Horn managed a 49-45 victory over Sundance. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

This is the second loss in a row for Wright and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Big Horn, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Wright was able to grind out a solid win over Big Horn in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 56-43. Does Wright have another victory up their sleeve, or will Big Horn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
