Winthrop scored the most goals they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 8-5 to the Danvers Falcons. The defeat continues a trend for Winthrop in their meetings with Danvers: they've now lost four in a row.

Winthrop's loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Danvers, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winthrop will host Gloucester at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Danvers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marblehead at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
