It was a good run, but Red Lion unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Central York Panthers, falling 87-61. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Panthers are ranked eighth).

Red Lion's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-2. As for Central York, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Red Lion Lions take on the William Penn Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in William Penn's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests. As for Central York, they are taking a road trip to take on Dallastown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
