Baseball Recap: Cajon Comes Up Short

Cajon lost against Redlands East Valley on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cowboys fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The game marked the Cowboys' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cajon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Cajon and nudges their season record down to 15-5. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Redlands East Valley, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Cajon by a score of 10-1 on Thursday.
