Progreso has been away from home for three games now, but on Friday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the Raymondville Bearkats at 7:00 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 44-7, which was the final score in Progreso's tilt against Santa Gertrudis Academy on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Ants in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

The dominant performance gave De La Paz a new career-high in rushing yards. Chris Gonzalez was De La Paz's top target, picking up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Raymondville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Progreso's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Raymondville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Progreso took a serious blow against Raymondville in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, falling 50-6. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Progreso was down 28-0.
