While Ansonia's victory against Tri-Village wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Patriots on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Caleb Eubank was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Ansonia picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Tri-Village, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ansonia will face off against Versailles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tri-Village, they will welcome Seneca at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
